Original
Cream a quarter of a cup of butter with a cup of powdered sugar, add one mashed strawberry, beat it well, add another, and so continue until the sauce is a beautiful red. Serve very cold.

- strawberry, mashed
Directions
Cream the butter with the powdered sugar. Add one mashed strawberry and beat well; continue adding mashed strawberries one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition, until the sauce turns a beautiful red color. Serve very cold.
